Soapy Massage in Pattaya — All Venues

Nuru massage is a Japanese body-to-body massage technique using a special gel made from nori seaweed. The masseuse uses their entire body to massage the client, creating a unique full-contact experience. It originated in Kawasaki, Japan.

A soapy massage is Thailand's bathhouse-style full-service format, known locally as aap ob nuat. The session runs in a private room with a bath: the therapist washes you, then performs a body-to-body massage using soap foam on an inflatable mattress, followed by a soak. It is distinct from nuru, which uses seaweed gel rather than foam and does not centre on the bath. Soapy venues are typically much larger than nuru rooms, with dozens of therapists on shift.

The larger soapy parlours seat their available therapists behind a glass-fronted lounge, known as the fishbowl, each wearing a numbered badge. You sit with a member of reception staff, choose a number, and agree the price tier before going upstairs — badge colours or number ranges usually correspond to different tiers rather than to different services. The lineup is fullest in the early evening and thins out late at night, so arrive earlier if choice matters to you.

Soapy massage opens at about ฿1,200 at the cheapest verified venue in this directory, and the middle half of the 46 soapy venues we list start between ฿1,500 and ฿2,400. Mid-range parlours run ฿2,000 to ฿3,500 for a standard session, premium clubs reach ฿6,000 to ฿8,000, and the top VIP packages at the highest-end Bangkok venues run into five figures. A tip on top of the quoted tier is customary, typically ฿500 to ฿1,000 at the larger clubs.

Soapy massage is the most geographically spread of the adult massage formats in this directory: Bangkok has 20 verified venues, Chiang Mai 8, Pattaya 6 and Phuket 5, with single venues listed in Khon Kaen, Phitsanulok and Udon Thani. Unlike nuru, which concentrates almost entirely in Bangkok, soapy parlours are a fixture of most sizeable Thai cities because the format predates the tourist market.
