← About the Playbook

  1. Mango Massage prices corrected

    v2.4 · 1 October 2026
    • Money: Mango Massage's prices now match the rates the shop publishes on its own website (checked September 2026). Its cheapest session is ฿1,700 for a 60-minute body to body, not nuru; its nuru is ฿3,000 for 60 minutes and ฿3,800 for 90. The old ฿1,600 figure, called the verified floor for Bangkok nuru, is withdrawn.
    • Money: the Bangkok nuru / body-to-body band now starts at ฿1,700, and the short version no longer says no legitimate nuru exists under ฿1,600. That line rested on the withdrawn figure.
    • No other price, venue, health, or legal fact changed in this release.

  2. Closed venues removed

    v2.3 · 30 September 2026
    • Money and City Primers no longer mention a nuru parlor on Sukhumvit Soi 26 that has closed. It is gone from the nuru price paragraph, the cash-and-cards list, the five-day budget example and the Sukhumvit anchors. The card count in Money now reads 8 of 10 Phrom Phong venues.
    • City Primers, Phuket Town: the soapy cluster around Phoonpon Night Plaza is now four shops, not five. One shop we could no longer find any current record of was removed.
    • No other price, venue, health, or legal fact changed in this release.

  3. The illustrated edition

    v2.2 · 30 September 2026
    • Every chapter now opens on a full-width photograph, and 35 more photographs run through the chapters at the moments they describe: the soapy bath, the nuru mattress, the oil room, the lineup, the menu, the outcall visit. Each carries a one-line caption drawn from the text around it.
    • The reader home now opens on a photograph, and every chapter card shows its chapter's photo.
    • The print/PDF edition carries the same photographs: one per chapter opening and every in-chapter figure.
    • No price, venue, health, or legal fact changed in this release. Captions only restate what the chapter already says.

  4. Phuket nuru and Pattaya price corrections

    v2.1 · 15 September 2026
    • City Primers, Phuket: the old line that nuru exists at exactly one venue on the island, a Nanai Road parlor at ฿2,000–4,000, is withdrawn. Two nuru venues have premises: Nuru Massage Patong, with branches on Nanai Road and Soi Sansabai, and Nuru Spa, a villa in Rawai. Mon Viman and Runjuan are outcall services.
    • Nuru Spa's figures come from its own price list, re-checked in September 2026: nuru gel ฿1,900 for 40 minutes and ฿2,500 for an hour, open 12:00–02:00. Nuru Massage Patong publishes no price we could read, so the book no longer quotes one. The old ฿2,000–4,000 band had no source.
    • Christin Massage is now described as Patong's one soapy club and the biggest on the island. The earlier wording called it the island's one full-scale soapy club, which read as if Phuket had no other. Phuket Town's soapy shops are unchanged.
    • Money and Cheat Sheets now match City Primers on Phuket. Money drops the same one-venue line and the ฿2,000–4,000 band, and its Phuket nuru figure is now Nuru Spa's ฿1,900–2,500, with Nuru Massage Patong's price left unquoted. The Cheat Sheets city picker names the Patong shop and the Rawai villa.
    • Pattaya nuru: the ceiling in Money falls from ฿7,000 to ฿6,000. The ฿7,000 was Ringo's old VIP figure. Ringo's official list, checked in September 2026, is nuru ฿3,800 for 60 minutes and ฿4,300 for 80, and City Primers now quotes those figures. The ฿6,000 top is HoHo's top tier and Nuru House's four-hands package.
    • Logistics, hours table: the Phuket row said Patong's soapy was evening-only. The evening-only shops are in Phuket Town. Christin in Patong opens at 13:00.

  5. The Reader edition

    v2.0 · 3 September 2026
    • New chapter 12, The Cheat Sheets: the whole book on six cards — venue-type picker, money and tips, the phrase card, red flags, the pre-departure checklist, and what to do if something goes wrong.
    • Every chapter now opens with 'The short version' — the five to seven load-bearing facts for the reader standing on the sidewalk — and converts its scripts, walkthroughs, and defenses into say-this cards, step timelines, and checklists. No facts changed; the same verified material, redesigned for lookup speed.
    • Thai script and pronunciation added to the phrase cards (desk phrases, room phrases, the counter question) wherever the book already gave the phrase in English.
    • The web reader is rebuilt: night mode for the flight, your place saved per chapter, reading progress, per-chapter reading times, keyboard navigation, and no analytics anywhere on the reader pages.
    • The print/PDF edition is redesigned to match, with the full component set styled for paper.
    • No price, venue, health, or legal fact changed in this release — verification datelines are untouched and the next data pass will note any moves here.

  6. First edition

    v1.0 · 2 September 2026
    • All twelve chapters published: venue walkthroughs, the decoder, money, etiquette and scripts, health, knowing who's who, scam defense, safety and privacy, logistics, the women/couples/LGBT chapter, and four city primers.
    • Every price band carries the month it was last verified against our directory data.
    • Health chapter sourced to WHO, HIV.gov, NHS, UNAIDS, and Thai Red Cross references; each citation checked on 2026-09-02.

Update cadence: at least quarterly, and sooner when our monthly venue re-verification surfaces something buyers need to know. Questions: [email protected].
