Sayuri Complex — Wat Ket, Chiang Mai
Sayuri Complex is Chiang Mai’s oldest remaining soapy massage parlor and entertainment complex, operating since the 1990s on Bumrung Rajd Road near the east bank of the Ping River. The venue is a Chiang Mai institution — a large complex that combines a traditional fishbowl-style soapy massage parlor with entertainment facilities including karaoke. While the facilities show their age, Sayuri’s longevity speaks to a loyal customer base and consistent service.
What to Expect
Traditional fishbowl-style soapy massage with ladies on display for selection. Rooms include bathtubs for the full soapy experience. The entertainment complex also offers karaoke and a bar area. The entrance is through the hotel car park, maintaining a degree of discretion. The atmosphere is old-school Thai entertainment — think late-90s decor and ambiance.

Soapy massage starts from ฿2,500, with premium selections reaching ฿4,000. Mid-range for Chiang Mai. Entertainment complex services (karaoke, drinks) carry separate charges. Cash only.
Location & Access
On Bumrung Rajd Road (Bam Ruang Rasat), Soi 2, in the Wat Ket district on the east side of the Ping River. From the Night Bazaar area, cross the Nawarat Bridge and continue east. The venue has parking. Songthaew or tuk-tuk from the Old Town: 10-15 minutes.

What we checked (30 September 2026): Sayuri has no website or social account of its own that we could find. Thailand Yellow Pages lists it as ซายูริ คอมเพล็กซ์ at 3 Soi 2, Bamrung Rat Road, Wat Ket, with the phone number 053-243-788, and Thairath’s 2020 report of an official inspection gives the same road, soi and subdistrict. The opening hours are not settled: Yellow Pages gives 12:00–24:00 daily and an independent Chiang Mai directory (chiangmailocator.com) says the venue opens from noon, which does not match the evening-only hours on this page. Phone before you go. The same directory carries a visitor report from October 2025 of ฿1,800–2,200, below the range shown here, and warns that foreign visitors are often quoted more; the venue publishes no price list, so agree the total at the desk first. Our team has not visited.
